Lunch

Phew ... well that was a sociable day! S went for  his usual table tennis date, and at midday I picked up Sue and P, and we went to join the players. Then all nine of us went over the road to the local cheap and cheerful restaurant. It was very convivial ... we arrived at 12 and left at 4. A very good value meal in great company.

I drove us home having been abstemious, but then Sue dragged us into her house on the pretext of organising Friday's dinner for 17 people. We sorted out the logistics of tables and chairs over several bottles of wine, with the help of four neighbours. After they had left it seemed Sue was in need of company, so we stayed for supper and more wine ... home at 9 pm. Zzzz!
