Unintended Consequences
Some years ago, I used to cycle and decided to build myself a very nice lightweight road racer. I obtained a very good quality frame, built my own wheels and started construction of this bike. This is where it all went wrong and health problems prevented me from firstly riding a bike and secondly completing it. My part completed project was placed alongside my working bike and Mrs GOG's bicycle in the shed. Over the years much rubbish has been placed in front of these.
When recently visiting our son-in-law, he said he wanted to build a lightweight bicycle and I mentioned that I had this old frame, partly built along the design lines he was intending and that he was welcome to it if he would like it. He said 'Yes' and today phoned up and said could he collect it, which I agreed to. He arrived and when we got to the shed we discovered many layers of things with the bicycles at the rear-most layer. The result was that we had to clear the shed before he could even see the bicycle, let alone retrieve it, neither of us had anticipated this, which came as a slight shock; this is not a shed I use, but is mainly used for gardening items by Mrs GOG.
Mrs GOG took today's picture of our son-in-law and myself outside of the partly emptied shed. I built a bonfire from much of the burnable rubbish and the heavens immediately opened nearly drowning us and making the bonfire impossible to light.
