Tuesday: Catkins on the Twisted Hazel …

… frost on the Kale and being hassled by The Robin …
Dry and mostly overcast, temperature around 0°C all day.
MrD did his last stint on tidying the top of our road with our neighbour from over the road and his brother giving encouragement and a helping hand :-)
I put a line full of washing out, they didn’t dry very well but soon dried on the clothes maid with the central heating on.
My gardening job today was to collect all the twisted hazel leaves which were covering the steps and the top path making it slippery when filling the bird feeders. The Robins and the Blackbirds thought this was great fun, especially when I tipped all the leaves onto the garden under the bird feeders - they were scratching about and will be hunting for snacks in the leaves over the coming weeks and months.
