Reflecting On Winter Boating, Allington

Went on a longish walk today along the river to Allington with a stop off halfway at The Malta pub for a pint. We were the first customers! We then walked across the lock and up a big, rather icy hill to our local Waitrose to get some supplies. The shopping centre it is located in has a newish pie and mash shop (a proper one) so we had pie, mash and liquor which was really tasty. By the time we got home we had walked over four miles so that was enough activity for the day.
