Blaze has a tick!

Poor little Blaze, that's no earring I'm afraid. I think it's a deer tick, the new scourge of this area, along with the old wood ticks we've always had. She was busy as little Ned this morning, he's as fearless as Nelson .

The new male hummingbird is still elusive, feeding quickly and darting away. Sharpie had his resting posts that offered great shots. I hope this one will adopt those as well. I did see the first female , she seemed much more at ease and perhaps is the same bird from last season. The shot is not the best, but it marks the day of my first sighting.
