Out the window

I woke up to lots of messages from my friends chatting about whether the school bus was running and whether the roads were passable. The gritter had gone off the road and there were reports of a car on its roof in the Glen. I immediately had a gut feeling that I knew whose car it was and found out I was right. I was so upset to see a photo of the state of my friend’s car but absolutely relieved that she was completely unscathed and there were no children in the car. She’s so lucky, the whole ordeal was very traumatic.

S and I ventured out into the slushy snow for a play. It’s rare we get snow in the garden as we are so close to the sea. We had a little play and then came in for the boy’s tea break. Cannon and I made a last minute decision to go down south to visit family, we’re leaving in a few days. Mum offered to have Seren for the rest of the day so off she went with Cannon and I got on with the laundry, tidying and packing. By the time S got home, she and I were both feeling a bit poorly with sore throats and body aches. Hopefully it’s short lived, lots of lemon and honey tea I think.
