Family lunch

We set off early to go to Walesby in Nottinghamshire for lunch with my mum and brothers. 

We had a good run up, coffee at my mums and then out for lunch. The food was fab and we were very full.

A chance of snow in the evening had been predicted,  during the day they updated to say it was coming earlier. We left quite soon after lunch so that we could start home in the light.

We hit traffic on the A1M which we sat in for an hour or so. We could see reports of problems nearer home and hoped they would clear before we got there. It started snowing after Stansted but we were doing okay.

We could not work out how to do the last 20 miles as all roads seemed to be blocked and closed. In the end we decided to head towards the M23 so we could then take a bigger road from Haywards Heath. It was slow going and I helped push a car up a hill at one point, but we got home at 9pm. A very long day of driving for Rich but glad to be home safe.

The cats were also very pleased to see us and very hungry as well.
