Christmas Rose

-6°C this morning …… not much to say about such a low temperature! We are fortunate to have no snow …. yet!

Out for a pre-Christmas lunch with friends today at one of the fairly nearby garden centres. On the way back to the car I had a very brief wander round the garden centre ….. the petals and leaves on this Hellebore were as stiff or stiffer than fondant icing.

Hellebores are quite tough plants and cope quite well in cold conditions so I expect this plant to continue flowering.
