Chilly

When I went out to defrost my car this morning I was surprised to see that it was -13 (even the moisture in my nose was freezing - possibly too much information).  A friend emailed me from Drumelzier to let me know it was -14 there so I obviously hadn’t made a mistake.

I rang the heating engineer this morning because Mary’s heating died on Friday night.  Mary and I have been waiting in all afternoon but so far no sign of them.  The heating company assure me that someone will come but apparently they have been inundated by calls for help from Peebles today.

Heating update - the heating company were as good as their word and have arrived  - it seems the problem is frozen pipes under the floor
