Back Blip - please bear with me while I do a bit of a catch-up!

Back onto the Union Canal today for a walk from Linlithgow to Winchburgh as part of my Canal Challenge 200 (don't say you weren't warned!). I have decided, howver, to spare you more photos of canals on this occasion - it won't last - and instead have posted a photo of the drummer-boy who sits atop the war memorial in Winchburgh. 

It is an unusual image as war memorials go, and quite a poignant one as I suspect there were many of his age who did not survive the conflict.
