Soquel Creek enters Monterey Bay at Capitola

They call it a creek but by the time it flows across the beach and into the bay it's a small river. Unless it's been raining, and then it can be quite large and unruly. The day after I took this a storm came in and it has been raining (pouring!) off and on for a few days, so I imagine the river is fairly big at this point. 

Extra is the great white heron I saw further up the river.
