Breakfast Table

We’d a late breakfast this morning, staying in bed a while longer than usual while the flat warmed up. The boiler that was ‘fixed’ two days ago was on the blink, no heat - got to love Scottish Gas. Anyway, another engineer arrives on Wednesday no doubt to ‘fix’ it properly. My eye.
More Plätzchen baking today, chocolate macaroons this time, which has left me with 4 egg yolks to use up. The recipes are being perused and then that’ll be it for this year.
A wee bit later I watched the final of Masterchef, the Professionals. Unbelievable cooking but also seriously depressing; they knocked out three fantastic courses in the time it takes me to make a couple of batches of biscuits!
