Snow on Fitful Head

A lovely calm day.  Frosty this morning, some fine sunny spells, and then showers, at times wintery. 

Getting up was a strain this morning, full of the cold!  Not had many of them in the past two years.  Showered and got ready for work.  Late shift in the airport, and a day working on the check-in desk.  Most flights in and out on time, apart from Glasgow, which cancelled due to tech issues.  Off to bed early.  Felt reasonably ok most of the day, but bunged up again tonight, and such sore lugs. 

Once again, the snow and ice was bad in Scalloway, Black Gaet and Gulberwick, with virtually nothing south of Quarff.  The only snow I could see was high up on the hills.  It was nice to get out at lunchtime and see some of the sunshine with a perfect calm winter's day.  Reek rising at Brake of Hillwell, and a snowy Fitful Head towering above, Dunrossness.
