Unexpected snow

The snow wasn’t forecast so the roads weren’t gritted or ploughed , and we had about 10 cm of snow this morning. We thought that once we were out of our road the main roads would be clear, but they weren’t, so it made going for a paper and a few bits and pieces rather interesting. After that,  having seen a car fail to get round the corner near us in the village, LooseCanon went out with a rope but soon their friend turned up with a proper tow rope and a 4xwheel drive vehicle. So they were soon on their way. 
I continued on a short walk round the village. It was a real wintery wonderland.
