Hoar frost

Up to find a bright sunny day with every tree coated with spiky hoar frost. Out for a walk to do some photography while it lasted although it turned out that today was an ice day (where temperatures didn't get above freezing). The coldest places in the UK were a few miles from home. A day in to read and potter and nurse my 'throat' which I'd finally caught to end the term with.
