Biked
A really good way to spend half a day on a bank holiday - a lie in followed by a cycle/train into Edinburgh, a trip across town dodging the buses and then out to Glentress with D for some uphill (ugh) and then downhill (yay) action.
Each time I go I get a little better and it gets a little easier. As a bonus I got some tips of a fellow rider today that helped make the uphill a tiny bit easier (leaning into the turns on the way up as well as on the way down).
Its such a friendly place, really chilled out and everyone is just downright nice to each other - which makes a pleasant change in the world today and is a little surprising given that its a busy place.
... and then there's the cafe and lunch/snacks for when you've finished riding. Yummm :-)
An hour tinkering with and cleaning my bike before Mrs42 came home from school was pleasant too. Now just eating a scone with a cup of tea.
Ahhh. Just what bank holidays were meant to be like.

LOTD: Grandmama's framed blip - The leaf silhouette framing, the strong greens and wispy sky all add up to a great shot.
