Waxwing!

This morning we got a tip off that there were waxwings about nearby so off we headed. Sure enough, there they were, a little flock of about eight birds, happily feasting on berries. Happy now that we have seen them but we will not pass up on a chance to see them again.
Very chilly indeed this morning but no overnight snow, although there was a brief flurry mid morning. 
Another chilly night ahead; sometimes I think those migratory birds have the right idea in heading for the sunny south each winter!
