Roger, our neighbour in his 90s, was unwell yesterday. By late afternoon, a doctor said he should go to hospital and it was decided that by car would be fastest. Tim had the unenviable job of driving across Salisbury plain in icy conditions. 

Roger has covid and Tim was told he would not have survived the night.  Where on earth did he pick up covid! I wonder if he will ever be home and independent again. 

It's Hetty's 3rd birthday.  Tessa's niece and nephew are visiting and we all went out walking together this morning. Another beautiful but cold day.
