Light and dark

There was some lovely light on our walk around Mountstewart this morning, although the sun was very bright. I find that I need my sunglasses more on these wintry days than during the summer months, as in winter the sun is so low in the sky it always seems to hit you in the eyes.

It was cold and frosty today, just great for a walk. We hadn’t been to Mountstewart for ages, which is a terrible waste of our NT membership as it’s so close by. We’re hoping to do a house tour before Christmas, to see the decorations inside. As we walked past the huge front doors and grand entrance foyer I could hear the sounds of children singing carols. I thought it was beautiful but the Ards Man thought “Bah, humbug!” :-)
