Honoring Those that Served.

Like a lot of cemetaries our local one has an area for veterans. It is small but the honor brought is special for those that served.

I served in Vietnam and received no honors when I returned. I had no one to just say thank you for my duty. I did not save lives. I also did not kill an enemy. I was a cook aboard three submarines and one guided missile cruiser. I did get to see beautiful parts of this world. I have made it a point to thank veterans when I get a chance.

I hope a some day we will have peace in this world but it may not be till after my time on earth is through.
