Nature’s Christmas decorations

It is quite cold here on Mull but not as cold as in other parts of the country. However, it was enough to freeze untreated road surfaces, with overnight hail and rain creating an ice rink with a thirty degree slope on our drive. Fortunately, by lunchtime, when I needed to go out to complete some tasks in the village, there had been a slight thaw enabling me to escape in the car.  Later, it was lovely walking in the woods with Bertie and this is where I saw these droplets hanging from the birch trees.
