Woody Thursday (8th December 2022)

I had slightly more luck with the garden robin than the day before, although this wasn't quite as sharp as I'd have liked (an equivalent of 630mm at 1/500th in sub-zero temperatures).

Refna came over to do a few things that hadn't been possible when she came the previous Friday because we'd run out of compost and shingle. This time the problem was that the ground and all the pots had frozen solid, but working partly in the porch there were still a lot of bulbs to pot up - alliums, irises and tulips - and other odd jobs.

The robin was around watching us all morning but the Extra of it on the outbuilding roof (in Extras) and the blip where it is on a rock at the top of the pathway were taken at lunchtime, about an hour after Refna had gone on to her next job.
