Kintyre Sunset

Long day with two surgeries in Kintyre and then , this evening, the opening of the first "Noufest" in Carradale - a celebration of the writer Naoimi Mitchison in the community where she lived for so long.

It was a great event but I had to leave before the buffet dinner, which was resplendent with lots of good things from local producers.

Heading for home up Kintyre's east road (with still over 80 miles to go!) this was the view as I crested the hill on the last stretch before you rejoin the A83 just before the Islay ferry port at Kennacraig.
