A new day dawns

This was the scene that awaited me when I pulled back the bedroom curtains this morning. It was a wonderful start to the day, and was quickly followed by another happy moment when I found a text message which had come overnight from The Traveller, saying he had arrived safely at his destination. 

Last night we had been tracking his two-flight journey, but had been dismayed to see a big "Flight Cancelled" sign in red letters on the online departure board at the halfway point in his journey. We imagined him stranded overnight while he waited for another onward flight, and we were out of contact with him for many hours.  Fortunately the information was not correct, and his journey had continued smoothly. We were so relieved when we got the text this morning.
