No Library for Dogs

I walked to the local supermarket at lunchtime, partly to buy bread and bananas, but  mostly to get out of the house. P was in his office today, so it was just me and the cats at home; and after another round of futile phone calls (the last hope of getting a carer for my mother evaporated today, so I sadly won't be spending this Christmas at my own home), I needed that walk. 

Next to the supermarket is this sad-looking building: A "Stadtteilbibliothek" - meaning, a district library. I've never been in there, because it's so uninviting and hardly ever open - plus, their opening times get changed every few weeks. The sign "Für Hunde gesperrt" translates as "closed for dogs".
