Don't speak with your mouth full!

When I came in from the Photo Club last night a bright moon was shining through a gap in the thick clouds. I noticed that my neighbour had scattered salt on the drive, but frost really didn't seem likely. However this morning I heard the gritter go by and the car was frosted, so obviously the skies cleared after I'd gone to bed!

Having bought a new tub of deck paint yesterday I intended to get on with the job, but having read the instructions that it shouldn't be applied at temperatures below 10 degrees or it might not work properly, I decided to wait until the weather warmed up. As long, of course, as it hasn't rained for 5 hours!

Instead of that I decided to finish a job which has been hanging around for a long time -  fitting new rollers to the greenhouse door. Just as I got dressed up and went outside I saw a squirrel in the tree about the dish of hazelnuts, so rushed for the camera. It took a while for him to be sure I wasn't going to catch him and then I took a few pictures through the partly open door, of which this is one. After that I apologised and told him that I had a job to get on with! I'd put this off for while as one of the bolts was completely rusty and I had to drill it out. Anyway the door now shuts so there should be a tiny bit more protection against frost now.

After lunch we walked down to the town in the sunshine to do one or two things and chat to one or two people and take one or two pictures! Snow in the north and east today, so we're hoping it doesn't reach us!
