Swim on Swim off

Went to a heated lido this morning with EmCoops but we took ages deciding on whether to do a ‘sub 10’ lake swim this evening.

We’d both paid for it in advance but because this lake has no buildings, power, shower or light, I was a bit concerned about how quickly we would be able to warm up afterwards as changing when you’re frozen and shaking and numb is clumsy at the best of times. I was chilly changing outside this morning and the chill stayed and didn’t shift until I got busy wrapping presents this afternoon. So we both called off the evening full moon swim.

We might try a ‘sub 10’ next week in a lake that is colder but has buildings and light and showers and warmth. We shall see.
