Heading Home

I took a quick trip out to Lightwater Country Park in search of some skies for Jensphotos's Wide Wednesday Challenge, and perhaps a bit of a sunset.

I normally walk in but didn't fancy the 20min or so walk back through woodland in darkness, so a trip by car was called for, which meant a slight detour home via the local garden centre for a new Christmas tree was called for!  With my late mum's estate finally settled, this will be something to remember her by at this time in future years.

Anyway, back in the country park I had timed it well for the sun to be sinking over one of the ponds beneath a sky full of cloudy texture. An added bonus was the flock of geese flying over the scene to their night roost - have a look large to see them and their reflections.
