A sunny, frosty drive to cork for Echocardiogram at the Mercy Hospital by the River Lee . I’m well overdue my annual check due to Covid backlogs but very happy to report there’s no further deterioration . Well worth a 6 hour round trip in the car, my back doesn’t agree tho!
The old hospital here was built in 1857 and the rest of the modern hospital is wrapped around it and has high glass corridors linking it to more across the road . I’m very fond of this hospital, it has always served me well, they’ve always been efficient and polite and I really like and trust my cardiologist . He’s a gentleman, logical , sensible and we can negotiate and have a laugh , which leaves me feeling empowered , which is linked to self healing . Long may it stay so . I’m still not allowed to parachute, rock climb, scuba dive , but moderate activity on the horse is good , happy to keep hearing that :0)
