The new ink on my forearm is in honor of coaching our three granddaughters, Cora #14; Grace #44; and Fontelle #20. It was seven years, and had it not been for the pandemic, it would have been nine. How many grandfathers get seven years doing something similar? It wasn’t always easy, but I think we’re all grateful now. I know I am. The tattoo artist is Carrie, a former student of mine, now at New Rose Tattoos in Portland.
