Testing times

Challenge from Oz.
UK bridge 39 gms carries 696 gms, roughly 20 times its weight.  In old money, that's bridge, less than 1.4 oz carrying 1.5 lbs. 
The bridge in Australia is being tested to destruction tomorrow.  I haven't the heart to do that.
