Everything changes

I finished off our Christmas cards for posting today. My flu is receding. As I put these stamps on the envelopes I had two thoughts. 1 These are the last ones we will use with late Queen’s head on them. 2. What’s happened to our good old postage stamps? These seem very utilitarian and a far cry from Rowland Hill’s original idea of a uniform penny post. I think these stamps now cost 68p each, but I may well be wrong!
