Bedfordshire Postbox number five
Out on some errands again today and met up with Nicoiseannie for a catch-up and some lunch whilst her dog Flint was at the beauty parlour.
Into Biggleswade after and as I was passing through the town I spotted this old post box. Could have been there from as late as 1936, but the location it was in, along London Road, would have been quite different then. Certainly not as many houses, in fact it would have been the main A1 trunk road from London as the bypass around the town was 1961 I believe.
It’s a King George V from 1910-1936.
