Coffee and Cake

We caught the bus to Otley and made a straight changeover to the Harrogate bus.
Elaine and myself had no agenda so wandered down to the Montpellier area , first drooling over the clothes in TOAST then having two excellent flat white and blueberry bakewells from a really nice cafe . It was full to bursting upstairs so we came down to the basement, l just love the colour palette there.
Elaine noticed l had lost an earring and luckily l found it on the pavement when we retraced our steps.
Then up to the centre of the town and a look in Hoopers where l nearly , very nearly bought a pair of trousers but had my sensible head on and walked away.
Straightforward journey home where the changeover was seamless.
So much colder as the day progressed, except a frost tonight.
We are going to my local this evening for the early bird festive menu so l’m pleased its on my doorstep.
It’s our little Christmas celebration together because after tomorrow we won’t see each other until the new year.
