Winter Rose

I looked out my office window to see this rose in full bloom in the garden - in the middle of December.  Presumably the unseasonably warm weather has tricked it into blooming late.  

Having said that I should probably have pruned it or something - I'm not very good in the garden.  Although someone told me that is good for the environment as it creates better habitats when "passively managed"...

Busy day, culminating in a reception for work in the National Museum of Scotland.  It was definitely work rather than play, but I just love that space.  The Victorians knew how to build!
