Carew Castle

My hope for a catch up sleep did not come true as L was crying and bed hopping a lot of the night because "Shelob" (the massive spider from lord of the rings) was in her bed :-S. Poor kid, I did sympathise with her. I think this was the result of being overtired, eating a lot of junk before bed and playing M's LOTR Top Trumps during the day. The sympathy dried up a little when she started singing the Fifi and the Flowertots theme tune at 2:30 am.

Thankfully E & M awoke in a great mood and we set off for Carew Castle. I do love a good castle. To be honest its still very chilly and windy here so we didn't stay as long as we would have on a sunny day but we did get a real sense of what might have gone on there. All those tiny winding staircases and the views for miles through tiny little gaps in the turrets.

This evening we've made use of the pool again for their special session of high rapids where everything was turned up to full power. We had little L going round on the woggle (or toggle or whatever the hell theyre called) and loving every second of it.
