Thimble Weed

aka anemone virginia or large anemone, seen with a bit of ice along Tinkers Creek at Bedford Reservation where I did my TA duty with VD.  We started from the Hemlock Picnic area and climbed a very long, steep hill to the top, getting the aerobic part out of the way early.  We stopped a couple of times on the way up.  We only came across two people, and one of those was in the parking lot. 

I decided not to carry my camera today to keep things simple.  Who's sorry now?
