Work at CVK. I eventually managed to get through to the tax number issuing office. They said there is nothing wrong with my ID and I need to speak to the tax office (who told me to contact the tax number issues in the first place). Meanwhile I have received the second half of my key to access the online tax portal via snail mail. I can now access my details and indeed the number matches my name and registered address. However, I cannot access the income tax bit. Another phone call to the tax office required. After work we went to the Charité Christmas market to get a sausage and some Glühwein.
