Written by José Feliciano in 1970, Feliz Navidad has gained popularity over the years, finally reaching the Top 10 in 2020 when it reached 50 years old! • José wrote the song in ten minutes and recorded it in one take in a California studio. In an interview he said he was homesick for his family in NY, while reminiscing about Christmas Eve celebrations with his ten brothers, eating traditional Puerto Rican foods, drinking rum and going caroling • José was born blind, is now 75 years old, and lives in Connecticut • We visited our favorite garden store in search of stocking stuffers, and while there marveled at this huge greenhouse overflowing with poinsettias of all sizes.
