I saw the light ...

... as we left Port Macquarie this morning. It's the Tacking Point Lighthouse, built in 1879 to a design by (Scottish) colonial architect James Barnet. And more about Barnet here. In the foreground is a somewhat out-of-focus Coastal Banksia.

The geographic name Tacking Point was given by Captain Matthew Flinders RN in 1802. He made the first circumnavigation of the continent to which he, for the first time, gave the name Australia.
