Dilemma

We bought our Nordmann fir last week from an organisation that supports a charity. We got it early to secure the height as most other outlets did not have what we wanted in stock.

It has been sitting outside , standing in water as we want it to last through the festive period and are concerned that bringing it too soon into the warmth (yes we are still heating our house) might not be a good idea.

However, internet searches suggest that frost might damage the needles. It is not clear if that applies just to live rather than cut trees but do we risk keeping it outside with some sub- zero weather forecast.

It is staying outside tonight - still netted - especially as the afternoon and evening have been occupied with church related meetings and emails,
