Forward planning

I was planning to put up the outside  Christmas lights next Friday, but having seen the weather forecast for the end of the week I brought forward the task to today. It was still mighty cold on the hands and fingers handling cold ladders and fiddling with ties. Now the lights are in place there is no rush to turn them on.
