MonoMonday: Sun

Carolina has nobly stepped into the MM hosting seat this month, and today would like us to use the sun in our blips.

At 55 degrees north, just over 2 weeks from the winter solstice, the sun is staying pretty low in the sky for us at the moment. At 9am it was still struggling to show itself above the rooftops visible from our back door, but it was producing some nice crepuscular rays which were illuminating the clouds above, so I chose this for my blip - using high contrast processing to try to emphasise the quite dramatic appearance.
