The Italian in Me

My local pub offers lots of things.
Aside from toasties, which are of course available in a wide range of fillings, you can have fun trying out a range of traditional and new real ales in the company of a few traditional and new friends.

This weekend they are hosting a real ale festival. It's in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Scotland which is a very worthy cause in my opinion. Ales with names such as Windswept, Meltdown and Hurricane Jack how are on tap. Some are sweet and some are strong but all are inviting indeed!

While there today, strictly on business you understand, I bought some Black Bull Garioch Real Ale Festival raffle tickets in the expectation of winning a Ferrari or indeed even an Apple iPad Mini.

I have always lusted after a Ferrari. That Rosso Corsa red brings out the male testosterone in me. The vibrant note of the exhaust reaches into my soul and the pedigree of the cars is simply mind blowing! If I had one it would transform my life completely and empty my bank account of course, but well you only live once as they say. Enzo probably knew that, which is why the cars have been an enduring legend.

Mind you, the only time I ever met an owner of one of these fabulous icons, he told me that they are pretty great except for the complete rebuild of the engine every 12000 miles at a cost of around £30K or so! He didn't look particularly skint but I suppose you can never tell with members of the royal family.

If I do win the raffle, I have decided to take someone's granny for a spin I think. Mine died a good few years ago but I am sure she would have enjoyed the run.
Oh wait, its Ferrari Headphones.
Bugger!
