Callistemon Megalongensis

You won’t find the Megalong Valley Bottlebrush anywhere but the valley, in fact it’s only found in Nellies Glen which is our little branch of the valley which has a population of about 10.
Every other bottlebrush in Oz is red but ours is pink and we’re very proud of it. It’s listed as “critically endangered” but you wouldn’t think so if you drive along Nellies Glen Rd at the moment. I suggest a 4WD if you plan to see them flowering or with a bit of polite encouragement, I might be persuaded to give a guided tour in the back of my ute.
