Jingle

We decided to get out and about earlier this morning and headed over to Newhailes House for their Christmas fair. Started with coffee and a bacon roll in their cosy stables cafe then had a look round the stalls (fewer than we expected) and met Nadine from Pentlands Aromatics, buying a couple of the renowned soap sponges for presents.
Back home and after letting Paisley in the garden again and giving her a run we walked down to town and browsed our way through some craft fairs, shops and the busy streets. Started to drizzle though and it was getting colder so we walked back home (better step count today!). After a cup of tea and a mince pie we decided to finish off the Crown series whilst we put the fairy lights and Christmas decorations up. Not so many as last year as I’m not buying a tree this time and instead decorated my ficus with lights and baubles and topped it with my lovely new clip on Angel from S.
Made a tasty one pot spicy chicken with black beans and rice (found the recipe in NYT and very tasty it was too https://pin.it/3YZv94y ) ready for when A returned from her hen weekend in Bath and after she’d eaten and played with Paisley she fell fast asleep! Relaxing day.
