Respite

Tonight: a concert of Vaughan Williams' Sea Symphony. It's hard and I did my best. We all did our best but the whole choir managed to miss two pages. They were easy pages, too, unlike much of the rest of the piece. I was proud of us for picking it up on the third page and the orchestra was so strong I doubt the audience noticed.

I didn't like this piece when we started rehearsing in September but I've learnt to enjoy it.
