Tawny Frogmouth visiting our yard

Perched high up in the palm tree in our yard that overlooks a local gully down to a creek. They normally camouflage well against tree bark in the day but not doing so great in the palm!

Rare to see one during daylight but supposedly a sign of luck (sure do need some after a horrible year).

Was worried it was injured with that one eyed squint, but apparently they do so in sunlight as nocturnal. But, will keep my eye on him just in case.
