Fat stock show

The Christmas Fat Stock show was on today in South Molton, a village about ten miles from Barnstaple, so three of us popped over to see what was on.The farriers were there , preparing the pony's hoof and then placing the shoe (and causing that smell of burning) on the hoof;  there were some piglets and some lambs on display along with the various stalls showing some wonderful cakes, mince pies etc made by the different Young Farmers in the area.
There were displays of shearing too.
An interesting morning - and coffee and cake too!
