tempus fugit

Evening sky

As the dog and I trudged home from the woods in the gloaming  I noticed these lenticular clouds poised over the horizon, illuminated by the setting sun.
Each time I looked back the shapes had changed.

(Lenticular clouds form at the lowest level of the atmosphere when wind blows across hills or mountains in otherwise still conditions. Theyhave sometimes been  mistaken for flying saucers.)
